With today’s signing, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Inter-Alumni Council/UNCF makes its venue for the 2017 Jazz Brunch official: The Conference Center of Las Vegas on Sunday, June 11th!
Conference Center of Las Vegas
It’s a bold move that was voted on during their monthly meeting recently, citing the opportunity to do something dramatically different toward increasing the community participation, energy, and fundraising for this year’s Jazz Brunch. In the past several years, the brunch has been held at off-Strip, major hotels. However, this year’s venue will give the organization the opportunity to have its attention focused as a featured attraction, rather than just another conference banquet.
“The whole reason for this event is to knit the communities and businesses together in support of raising substantial funds for educational scholarships in support of students attending HBCUs. It’s not just to serve a meal,” said Kelvin Bell, newly appointed VP of Public Relations and Sponsorships. “At this venue, we’ll have elegance, as well as the ability to get all ages involved throughout the grand facility. Businesses and individuals can support our program, sponsor the event and scholarships, dine in style, and park for free!”
This location will also provide an opportunity for a planned youth competition on one of the large Readerboards, a gala atmosphere from the Lobby entrances to the Grand Ballroom, as well as provide on-site deluxe bedrooms for those attending the event who prefer to stay on-site. Tickets for this year’s fundraising gala will be just $75 and can be ordered beginning February 1st.
